Review Workshop on Child-Friendly Local Governance Indicators Held in Andhikhola Rural Municipality, Syangja district, Gandaki Province.
A review workshop was held on 15th May 2025 to assess the effectiveness and impact of the Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) initiative in Andhikhola Rural Municipality. The event focused on evaluating how the local government is promoting child rights and inclusive governance through the implementation of CFLG indicators.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including local government representatives and officials, to share experiences, lessons learned, and best practices.
Mr. Narayan Dhakal, Executive Director of EcoHimal Nepal, presented progress on 51 CFLG indicators. His presentation highlighted:
- The current status of each indicator
- Achievements against the set targets
- Delays in meeting certain targets, along with analytical reasons for these delays
An in-depth discussion followed, assessing how effectively the program is meeting its objectives, particularly in terms of child rights implementation and encouraging child participation in local governance. Participants also reflected on the challenges faced during the implementation phase.
