Project Monitoring from EcoHimal Austria
Mrs. Maria Gehmacher , the Vice Chairperson of EcoHimal carried out Project areas monitoring. She visited Dugunagadi Village of Sindhupalchowk where WASH, renewable energy and community agro-forestry initiatives have been milestones for local community livelihood. She also visited B&B villages in Lamjung where the cardamom based ecotourism has been promoted under Farming for Health Project. The monitoring visit was accompanied by Mr. Narayan Dhakal, the Executive Director of EcoHimal Nepal.
The field visit provides an insight into the project’s implementation and first-hand information on successes made, the challenges and impact of their contribution on local livelihood. Acknowledging and impressed with the visit, she expressed her gratitude for all the information and interactions availed, as this gave her a better understanding of the projects. She thanked for all the hard work and collaboration to maximize the impact of the funding and support towards needy population and communities.
