Construction of School Building in Solukhumbu
On 21st July 2021 a major landslide struck the Pashupati Basic School of Ward no 6, Waku village, of Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality (RM). The landslide triggered by continuous rainfall caused major damages to two-classrooms and an office building. Due to lack of classrooms, 41 school children are studying under temporary learning centres.
A 3 room seismic resilient school building is under construction following disaster resilient standards and techniques. In addtion, a gender firendly toilet will be constructed. Necessary furniture will be supported. This project is under implementation in in financial support of Kindermissionswerk, Die Sternger e.V
